So, Anime Central was a blast--it had to be THE most fun I've ever had at the convention. I didn't really get out from behind my table all that much at Artists' Alley, but I didn't mind much. Between all the people-watching (lots of good costumes!), sneaking away for a few minutes to look at other people's tables, talking with other anime fans/geeks, and nearly selling out of shadowboxes on the first day, I had a blast. The sales were pretty nice, but I would have been equally happy if I had only broken even with the whole deal. It was so much fun and I am definitely doing it (and hopefully other conventions!) next year so long as I can still

I've been working hard on new art to bring to Anime Central. I was one of the lucky ones to grab a table in their Artist Alley this year before they sold out. If you like the art you see here and would perhaps like to own some for yourself, please stop by Booth #147 at Happy Hatpire Designs and say hi! I'll have shadowboxes, paintings, acrylic keychains, and maybe a few other goodies there for sale. Anime Central takes place at the Donald E Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL. This year it's being held April 27-29. Here's where I'll be located inside of Artist Alley:

Well, I've finally succumbed and signed up for a DeviantART account. It's been a very long time since I've had a gallery up somewhere. I still technically have my old Elfwood account under my maiden name, but I don't do much straight fantasy anymore. I'd been bitter over DeviantArt for a while for stealing a lot of Elfwood's traffic away, but let's face it--Elfwood was great in the 90's. I remember when it began as Lothlorien. You emailed the creator your files and he would go through each and every one of them, approving and rejecting them himself. But it's time to let bygones be bygones, and so here I am. The site is quite nice so far. :)
